By profession, I am a Software Development Manager / Architect for The Hartford, Heritage Holdings department in Hartford, CT and Boston, MA. As a Software Architect for The Hartford, I advise on design and architecture issues and provide assistance to project teams. I also get my hands dirty, so to speak, quite often by providing direct assistance with design.
I design and code in both .NET and J2EE but my passion is .NET. My style and mindset is such that I tend to concentrate on the goal of a software project, that is, the business benefit the project provides. That might be increased revenue, increased efficiency, decreased workload or many other non-technical benefits. Because I am so results-oriented, I lean toward high-productivity tools and environments such as VS.NET and C#.
